In 2012, we added the 25 acre Richardson Ranch vineyard to supply local wineries and vintners with high quality coastal Pinot Noir grapes.
Our climate, excellent vineyard management team, and our sustainable practices help to ensure that every grape grown at Richardson Ranch is the highest quality available for purchase.
While at this time, our grapes are only sold for the production of top tier wines, our long term plan is to invest in a state of the art winery, and tasting room for guest’s to enjoy at our beautiful property in Stewart’s Point.

Perched on the bluff overlooking the serene Sonoma Coast, Stewart’s point once held a bakery, a market, a post office and a saloon.
Over the years, the small village slowly fell into disrepair, and now all that remains is the post office, and the Stewarts Point General Store that has been owned and operated by our family for over 120 years.
Establishing a tasting room that guest’s can visit and enjoy Richardson Ranch Pinot Noir is crucial to our long term goal of rebuilding the quaint town of Stewart’s Point.
Pinot Noir grapes are a particularly finicky grape varietal due to its thinner skin, our cooler climate helps to yield smaller berries, resulting in bold and flavorful fruit characteristics. The temperate weather combined with the rich soil at Stewart’s Point creates the optimal conditions that Pinot Noir requires for its unique flavor profile.
Our vineyards have been designed to allow grazing sheep the space they need to forage the weeds and grass that would have otherwise been controlled using mowers or artificial pesticides.
By employing sheep to manage the intrusive vegetation that slows vine growth and grape production rather than using traditional methods, the fruit at Richardson Ranch benefits from a more organic production.
